We haven’t done much to the garden since we moved to Bognor. Last year George got a slide but we didn’t plant too much.
In early May we spent a whole day on it. This is what we had to sort.
But by the end of the day we had a vegetable patch..
And we discovered some potatoes
And we’d made quite some progress. We even had some stuff planted.
We recently popped to Redditch. As you do. Well it was on the way to Wolverhampton for Madeline’s Christening.
Anyway, this war memorial caught my eye. I was told by a slightly (very) drunk local lady that it was designed by one of her school friends. The school kids were invited to enter a competition to design the memorial.
A highlight of Redditch was spending 20 minutes in Dominos watching them make Pizzas. It is worth the visit to Redditch just to do this. Not sure how the staff felt having people staring at them through a glass window though. They all seemed pretty grumpy to be working on a Saturday night.
By the way, Redditch is further than 20 minutes from Wolverhampton. It is all the fault of Apple for screwing up the maps. But that is another story.
For the second time in a season, Wrexham were at Wembley. This time it didn’t end so well.

Michelle knitted these for sale at a local craft fair at Brent Lodge. They looked quite nice welcoming people into the home for a while. Have a look at what Michelle is doing now via her Jumbleshell facebook page.
We visited the RSPB reserve at Pagham Harbour in April. We didn’t stay for a long time but had quite a nice stroll.
This was what welcomed me when I got home after my recent trip to Bremen. A lovely welcome.
I recently visited Bremen in Germany for a few days. This is what I learnt.
1) They have an interesting train station.
2) You can buy cigarettes from a machine (but have to scan your ID to prove your age).
3) There is a windmill.
4) Some animals stand on top of each other.
And the Bremen tourist authorities make a lot of these animals.
5) It is a city of trams. They are everywhere. Affordable and easy to navigate.
6) There are plenty of other statues.
7) Some attractive buildings.
8) A nice farmers market.
9) It’s quite hard to find the toilets. And when you do, they aren’t very accesible (behind building works at the moment).
10) There is a (somewhat vague) connection with Robinson Crusoe.
11) A playground in the town centre.
12) Quite a nice old town.
13) And more statues.
