Well the school inspectors really. But I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with this information. Behave differently? Not shout at the teachers? The school seemed smarter than it normally was and they had put new pictures on the wall.

Some yummy food. Hallumi and Chard from the Greenpeace field.
Ed Harcourt in the Park
And Twin Falls on BBC Introducing stage. I thought they were great. And not just because they gave me a free demo CD. I will buy their album.
Michelle is selling her wares at a craft fair. So George and I are in the garden having scrambled egg with Ice Cream Milkshake (Pfish Food Ice Cream, a Choc Ice, Milk, a banana and some ice)
On day one my tent was quite tidy.
The weather was super.
And the size still astonishes me.
I used the sauna in the Tipi Field during the festival. I’ve never been cleaner at Glastonbury.
Arcadia on the Thursday night.
My tent pole had snapped. Not good. It was a tent I liked a lot and wanted to use for Glastonbury.
What to do?
It’s not really possible to buy spare parts for old tents. I even bid on a few second hand versions of the same tent on Ebay so I would have some spares.
But I learnt that you could buy long tent poles. After buying the wrong width initially (its quite hard to know if your poles are 7.9mm or 8.1mm without having them with you in the shop), I bought a new pole
My broken tent pole
I cut the new pole to the right length.
I bought a threader to help get the elastic through the tent.
And it worked. Yippee.
Much easier and cheaper than buying a new tent.
