Stopping in Dorchester

 

We stopped in Dorchester on the way to Devon and Cornwall. We decided at the last minute to split our journey to Okehampton and stopped at Dorchester.

The Wessex Royal was a nice hotel. The service and breakfast was great. The room was on a slope though and up lots of stairs. It was a bit noisy overnight as we were overlooking the main road.

Sadly not enough parking so we had to pay to park on the street. We went to an Italian restaurant for tea. It was pretty average. And they had run out of pizza. I went for a little run in the morning around a small local park.

Dorchester sounds like it should be a nice place. But it is a bit dull. Don’t bother.

The day after the party

 

The morning after the party we popped to the car boot at fontwell. But sadly it wasnt on. Antiques instead. I lost my camera. grrr.

We popped to a local community fair in Middleton after perusing the antiques.

When Nanny came to stay we had breakfast in the Premier Inn in Chichester.

I got some good photos of George’s sports day in early July. But only allowed to post the ones with just George in.

Wedding day

 

8th June was Julie’s wedding day.

Maureen and Bruce were there.

There were flowers.

There was cake.

And it was hot. So we popped out across the road to the beach to cool down.

 

The first BBQ

 

For Michelle’s birthday in June we had our first BBQ of the year. There was even a birthday cake.
